OST (Octavian Security Training) is a division of Octavian Recruitment and acts as a feeder to Octavian Security and in-house organisations.
This arm of Octavian was established to deliver a specific level of training in accordance with the recommended training syllabus in the British Standard 7499.
This training is open to our own employees, to companies in the public and private sector who directly employ security staff and to any individual wishing to obtain a security qualification. This division is operational throughout all of our international locations and whilst the British Standard is adopted and maintained, we also incorporate local standards governed by legislative and regulatory bodies.
This unique division presents security officers with the opportunity to undertake recognised security courses, including those for Basic Job Training and Conflict Management Training. This standard is compulsory for all security officers wishing to remain in the private security industry in the UK and one that is internationally recognised.
The security industry is constantly criticised for its lack of professionalism and as a company Octavian aims to consistently perform to the contrary, positioning professionalism as the keystone of our operation.
Octavian’s new training division does not only continue to ensure professional development of our own officers, but also allows us to share our own skills and practices with other commercial organisations and competitive security companies.
